A great place to be
It was really good to be able to get back to Skomer Island, Pembs. again yesterday. This is a place of `annual pilgrimage` for me, and despite blustery weather it didn`t disappoint.
The island is situated off the Pembrokeshire coast of South Wales, and temporary home to many thousands of Puffin, Guillemot, Razorbill, and others during the breeding season.
Many people come from across the UK to visit the island, so I feel fortunate in that i`m only 90 minutes away.
The weather conditions meant that my `target bird`, Short Eared Owl, didn`t show, keeping down low out of the wind.
There`s always next year to try again!
